Jamwa Ramgarh (Rajasthani: जमवाय़ रामगढ़ Hindi: जमवा रामगढ़) also popularly known as the Ramgarh, is the subdivision of Jaipur District. Located at State Highway Number 55 at about 28 kms away from Jaipur city in East-North Direction of it. Its Best known for 'Ramgarh Lake' Located in outskirts of this town.

Ramgarh Lake

This lake almost defines the beauty of this small town, surrounded by Arawali Hill Ranges, this lake is prefect Natural panoramic beauty attracting thousands of tourist each year. This Lake was one of major water resources for Jaipur city before year 2000; when it gone almost dry. The dense forest surrounding Lake and nearby areas is habitat of wide range of Wildlife animals Lion, Chital and Neelgai being major contributors and has been declared as Wildlife sanctuary by Government of India in year 1982.

Jamwai Mata Temple

Jamuvai mata ji is the kuldevi of kachwaha suryavanshi rajput clan of AMBER/JAIPUR. The temple of goddess is built by Rao dulherao of kachhwaha clan in jaipur and later it is called jamwa ramgarh by the name of godess jamuvai.the history of jamuvai mata dates back to antiquity.Rao dulherao who laid the foundation of kachhwaha rule in rajputana built this temple.Previously this town is known as "manch" and there was a temple of budhvai mata ji and the statue is still existed in the same temple. According to history It is said that Rao Dulherai had a dream in which Jamwai Mata rani came and gave him the directions of conquering the area ,Rao Dulherai conquered this area by the dreamy encouragement of spiritual power of Jamwai Mataji and and he won the conflict with local Meena Landlord. On the occasion of success he renamed the town Maanch as Jamwa Ramgarh by the Kachhwaha ruler. This is very much devotional shrine for whole of the Kachhwahas.peoples of kachhwaha ancestry(Include shekhawat, rajawat, nathawat, khangarot, shyobrahmpota)visit her temple.

Geography

The major rivers passing through the Jaipur district are Banas and Banganga. Although serious drought is rare, poor water management and exploitation of groundwater with extensive tube-well systems threatens agriculture in some areas.

Climate

Jaipur has a hot semi-arid climate (Köppen climate classification BSh) receiving over 650 millimetres (26 in) of rainfall annually but most rains occur in the monsoon months between June and September. Temperatures remain relatively high throughout the year, with the summer months of April to early July having average daily temperatures of around 30 °C (86 °F). During the monsoon there are frequent, heavy rains and thunderstorms, but flooding is not common. The winter months of November to February are mild and pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 15–18 °C (59–64 °F) and with little or no humidity. There are however occasional cold waves that lead to temperatures near freezing.[1]
